They visited many villages and tried to find him for a long time.

They found his father, but he was dead. They made a grave for him and decided to live in the village.
Gonzaburo played the yokobue well. His mother liked the sound. But one day, his mother became blind and was very sad. So he played the yokobue for her every day. The village people began to call him Fuefuki-Gonzaburo.
Some years later, a flood hit the village. Many people were dead. Gonzaburo's mother was dead, too. Gonzaburo cried, "Mother! Mother!" But, it was too late. After that, he played and played the yokobue and walked around the village. The village people said, "Oh, poor Gonzaburo!"
Soon, another flood hit the village. After the flood an old man cried, "Gonzaburo is dead". Many people came to him. They cried and cried for him.
Every evening after that, people heard the sound of the yokobue from the river. They said, "Gonzaburo is calling us". They were afraid and invited a famous priest. He prayed for Gonzaburo. After that, they didn't hear the sound of the yokobue. In memory of Gonzaburo, people named the river "Fuefuki".
