The Mosquito
O.K., I wouldn't be writing about a mosquito if I didn't have some interesting (to me) pictures to go along with the writing. Up until last weekend, I'd had a mosquito problem. My arms and ankles are really beaten up. In any case, I've been leaving the windows and doors closed, and somehow they're still getting in. So, I told one of the teachers about my mosquito problem, and he promptly took me to the drug store to buy a mosquito keeping-away device. It seems to activate some poisonous liquid of some sort, which is released into the air, and keeps the mosquitos away real well. However, one little mosquito (sorry, I was trying to think of a synonym for "mosquito", but didn't want to use profanity) in my room last night, and bit me before I knew he was there. So, naturally, I became insanely angry and began to hunt him down. I'd better thumbnail the following pictures, because the story gets a bit gruesome. I lied down flat on the floor, so I could look up at the whole room, and within five seconds I spotted the little bugger. He was near the floor, either ready to strike again, or feeling the effects of the poisonous-to-mosquito air. I quickly smashed him against the hardwood floor with my open right hand. (I know it was my right hand even now, because I nearly broke my thumb hitting the floor so hard). Immediately, I realized that this was the very mosquito who had just bitten me. I could tell by the large drops of my own beautiful red blood now splattered on my hardwood floor, which had just been released from the belly of the beast.
The left picture shows most of the body of the dead mosquito and a blood splatter. The center shows my bite, slightly white, just to the right of the big vein, along with most of the body of the dead mosquito and a blood splatter. The right picture shows my right hand, which was the instrument of death, with blood marks and mosquito remains on it; along with most of the body of the dead mosquito and a blood splatter. If you are a mosquito, take this as a warning. This is what happens to mosquitos who bite me from now on. Tell your friends.
