Hatsune Udon

Formerly Shop #36 on the Official Yoshida Udon Map

This is a quaint old shop on the road to Mt. Fuji.

This is what I look like when I'm eating udon.

Reviews & Opinions

Shop:
This is a nice little shop. The karashi is very spicy, among the best we've had. There's nothing wrong with the udon here--it makes a fine lunch, but there's certainly nothing remarkable about it. While it's a nice bowl of udon in a friendly little shop, the quality doesn't compare to that of the better shops. There's no reason to choose Hatsune over other udon shops for lunch unless you're at Fujiyoshida Station without a car.

It was a very small shop. The toppings were great. The tempura was really good. Karashi was outstanding.
The noodle was very different from other Yoshida udon. Silky and soft. Sliced very clean. Very sensitive touch.
