Peter:
The noodles may be undercooked, but that just makes it taste more fresh. Nice and chewy. Consistency isn't quite perfect, but excellent. The noodles are really quite good. The portions are very big, but the menu is expensive. The niku was average--a little tough, but tasty. There were drinks available, which is always nice. I would like to return on days that I'm especially hungry, and also just to see if the noodles are again a little undercooked, or if that was just a mistake.

Jason:
Despite the fact that this is the closest udon-ya
to my home, well within walking distance, I've only been
here once. The interior is kind of dark, though the tea
and friendly service brightens things up a little. The
niku udon is tasty and filling, but at 550 yen for regular
size bowl, there are a lot of better values to be had. I'd
be willing to come back, but if I was going to walk out
for udon, it'd probably be to nearby Miura: 6

8/10: I like the interior: Old-Fashioned Japanese Restaurant; wooden tables & counter; good service w/ green tea; a plate of pickles; just like a regular Old-Fashioned Japanese Restaurant; broth is a little on the salty side, so you should adjust the flavor by adding some spices. Presentation of noodles is excellent; on the expensive side but size, atmosphere, and service make it a relaxing place to eat.
